JEWELLERY CARE GUIDE
As all Micaela Dietrich pieces are handmade individual artistic works, each piece has a delicate and fragile nature. Follow the below steps to ensure your beautiful heirloom can be handed down for generations to come.

How to care for your precious treasures
- Take jewellery off before sleeping, showering, exercising or generally working with your hands. Although metal and gemstones may appear to be durable materials, nothing is invincible. A knock to a gemstone may cause it to chip, or a setting to break. Taking your precious pieces off beforehand is the best way to ensure your treasure is safe.
- Higher carats of solid gold jewellery are softer, this means although they are less likely to snap under pressure, they are more likely to bend out of shape. Avoid applying any force or pressure to your precious pieces.
- Store delicate chains separately to other jewellery to avoid tangling. Remove necklaces and bracelets before changing clothes to avoid applying unnecessary pressure to links.
- Apply any creams or perfumes before putting your jewellery on.
- Do not wear jewellery whilst swimming, particularly in swimming pools as chlorine and other chemicals can weaken your jewellery.
- Regularly clean your jewellery with gentle dish detergent and hot water (not boiling!), use a soft bristled brush (such as a tooth brush) to gently scrub away build up. Finish with a polishing cloth. *This is not applicable to Opal jewellery; especially Opal doublets. Simply maintain your Opal treasures by regularly polishing and storing in an airtight container*
- Store your pieces in an air tight container when not in use, this will reduce oxidisation.
- Have your jewels professionally cleaned and restored by Micaela Dietrich Jewellery
