This website is operated by Micaela Dietrich Jewellery. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Micaela Dietrich Jewellery. We offer this website, including all information, tools and services available from this site to you, the user, conditioned upon your acceptance of all terms, conditions, policies and notices stated here.

By visiting our site and/or purchasing something from us, you engage in our “Service” and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”), including any additional terms and policies referenced herein or available by hyperlink. These Terms apply to all users of the site, including without limitation browsers, vendors, customers, and content contributors.

Any new features or tools added to the store will also be subject to these Terms of Service. You can review the most current version of the Terms of Service at any time on this page. We reserve the right to update, change or replace any part of these Terms by posting updates to our website. Your continued use of or access to the website following any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc., which provides us with the e-commerce platform to sell our products and services to you.

1. Online Store Terms

By agreeing to these Terms, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or territory of residence, or you have given us consent to allow your minor dependents to use this site.

You may not use our products for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any laws in your jurisdiction.

2. Materials & Craftsmanship

All jewellery is made from 100% recycled precious metals and responsibly sourced gemstones, with a preference for Australian gems wherever possible. Every piece is handmade, meaning small variations are part of the unique character of your jewellery.

3. Order Types & Lead Times

Ready-to-Wear: Ships within 1 week of purchase.

Made-to-Order: Please allow approximately 4 weeks for production.

Bespoke Orders: Production time is 6–8 weeks from design approval and receipt of deposit.

4. Payments & Deposits

Bespoke Orders: A 50% deposit is required before making begins. This deposit is non-refundable once work has commenced. The balance is due upon completion and must be paid in full prior to shipping. Once a bespoke piece has been shipped, it is non-refundable except where it meets our fault criteria (see Section 7).

5. Returns & Exchanges

No refunds are offered for change of mind.

Ready-to-Wear: Exchange permitted within 7 days of delivery, excluding earrings for hygiene reasons. Items must be unworn, in original condition, and returned with packaging.

Bespoke Orders: Non-refundable and non-exchangeable.

6. Warranty

Engagement Rings: 24-month warranty.

All Other Pieces: 6-month warranty.

Warranty applies only to manufacturing faults that meet our fault criteria. Does not cover wear-and-tear, accidental damage, or damage caused by not following care instructions. Faults will be assessed and, if applicable, the item will be repaired, replaced, or refunded at our discretion.

7. Care Instructions

Jewellery should be removed before swimming, showering, cleaning, exercising, or sleeping. Exposure to water, chlorine, salt, soaps, or harsh chemicals can damage gemstones, dull metal finishes, and weaken settings.
Damage caused by not following care advice is not covered under warranty or returns.

8. Shipping

We currently ship within Australia only.
All orders are sent via Australia Post with tracking and signature on delivery.
We are not responsible for delays, loss, or damage once an order has been dispatched. Customers are encouraged to ensure their shipping address is correct at checkout.

9. Accuracy of Information

We make every effort to display product colours, materials, and details as accurately as possible, but cannot guarantee your device’s display is accurate.
We are not responsible if information on this site is not accurate, complete, or current.

10. Intellectual Property

All designs, images, and content on this website are the property of Micaela Dietrich Jewellery and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without prior written permission.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our products or services.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
